The Simons Collaboration on Strong Gravity and Black Holes is deeply committed to educating and supporting the next generation of scientists working at the intersection of physics, mathematics, astrophysics, computer science, and data science. We aim to create an environment where undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers can develop strong technical foundations while engaging with an international network of mentors and collaborators. Through structured mentoring, focused learning opportunities, and cross-disciplinary connections, we will help students and postdocs build the skills, confidence, and community they need to thrive in this rapidly evolving field.
Education and outreach are also central to our broader mission. Members of the collaboration will have opportunities to engage in outreach activities, develop science communication skills, and contribute to resources that make the science of strong gravity more accessible. We welcome proposals for original outreach ideas from all collaboration members. Over time, we plan to grow an online collection of talks, training materials, and original projects that will serve as a resource for students, educators, and the wider public.
